If you were to describe Thomas Guerrero's style of dancing to other instructors, you would say he has a very energetic Dominican Street Style of dancing. He is a human metaphor of multiple turns, spins, turn combos, counter turns and sudden stops with change of directions. He has a very strong and aggressive lead. Many women become multiple spinning experts under his style of mambo dancing out of sheer necessity and practice. So if your looking for interesting turn patterns and got energy to burn on the dance floor then Thomas Guerrero may be the instructor for you. The Santo Rico men are known for being effectively strong leaders, while the women have developed a reputation for being dance floor "Spinning Queens."
So, get ready to share a weekend with one of the top "On 2" teams in the world! Santo Rico Dance Company workshop weekend. More detailed information with workshop pricing, location, performance information, and where we will be hanging out. Lambada Zouk Workshop with Willem Engel, San Diego
Sizzlin Lambada Zouk Workshops
Hosted by Willem Engel
October 17th-19th, 2008
Cheek2Cheek Dance Studio
909 Grand Avenue,
San Diego, CA 92109 (Pacific Beach), USA
The event is part of a one time weekend experience to expand to the Latin dance community this newer type of dance based on traditional Lambada.
Usually salsa and tango dancers can pick up this type of dancing easily with a little help and San Diego is fortunate to have a visiting Zouk Lambada instructor coming in October.

About Zouk Lambada:
In order to wrap your mind around Zouk, you just have to see it. Imagine one part dirty dancing, one part salsa and one part waltz. Intimate, rhythmic and elegant, it is a beautiful seductive dance that involves partners dancing, attached at the hip, and separating to twirl, all the while maintaining a one-two-three beat to various music from the Caribbean, Brazil, and even the Middle East.
