We have just been informed by Juan Carlos Hernandez, one of the best NY on2 style dancers in San Diego and co-director of Majesty in Motion, that he will be providing a Salsa Dance Classes on1 for beginner and intermediate dancers. This classes will take place in San Diego, CA- so if you live close to the area, don’t miss them!!

Juan and Genny's salsa dance classes are open to all levels of dance experience. This courses will introduce some of their tips and techniques for how to dance the basics, how to incorporate men and ladies styling on the dance floor, how to add variety to a cross-body lead, and how to smoothly execute more advanced patterns.

This will be our SEVENTH monthly meeting at the club. Cafe Sevilla, a popular venue here in San Diego for salsa, is opening its doors to our group on the first Wednesday of each month.
This month's event will be featuring a Tapas and Dance theme! Come at 7pm for tapas and drinks from a special happy hour selection just for our meetup group. They will meet for tapas from 7pm to 8:30. Afterwards anyone who wants to take the lesson can at 8:30 or mingle in the special VIP area for our group downstairs
The San Diego Salsa and Latin Dancing Meetup Group will have a special area set up for members to mingle starting at 8:30 pm. Look for us at the main entrance area, right hand side in the VIP Section. I'll have a Meetup.com sign set up in the area. Come early at 9pm sharp to meet members before everyone goes out to dance!
Orquesta LGC will be performing LIVE salsa beginning at 10pm.
Meetup members will get a special discounted price of $5 admission before 10:30pm.

Timba and Salsa night at the Kava Lounge

Hi salseros! Join us this Tuesday, June 16th for our second Timba & Salsa night at the Kava Lounge! We'll be playing non-stop Timba, salsa & son–the only place in San Diego that's playing Timba. If you're not old with Timba, it's a Cuban fusion of what you normally know as salsa, along with upbeats and accents of funk and r&b. It was matured in Cuba right most the same time that salsa was nonindustrial up in New royalty city. Normally you'd have to fly up to San Francisco, Miami or New royalty to get your Timba fill–not anymore. So join us this Tuesday. No coiffe to impress, no attitudes, become in your sneakers, a smile, and dance non-stop! Cover is $5 and there will be ingest specials. I will be teaching a salsa class at 8:30, and dancing goes from 9:15 till midnight.
