About Sakara Dance Team:

The word Sakara (Sa-ka-ra) is actually a city in Cairo, Egypt that is the location of the first Kings and  Queens of Egypt, the location of the first known Step Pyramids discovered in Egypt, and is still under discovery of its many treasures that is possesses.

Sakara Dance Company, acknowledges the many past and present day Kings and Queens of dance and music, and considers the Seaon Stylist Dance Company our first pyramid of steps that we were able to learn the vecessary technical foundation, and building blocks to continue and further create the next On 2 generation.  We are an evolution of treasures yet discovered, and want to continue with our own legacy in the evolving rhythmis fluidity of movement within the Salsa/Mambo Community.

Sakara is a professional On 2 Dance Troupe, who were the core traveling performers formerly with the Seaon Stylist Salsa Dance Company.  As artist, we pay tribute to the numerous choreographers, promoters, performers, and social dancers that have provided us with and endless source of inspiration, passion, and taught us about dedication.  They have also given us what we need now to strive towards our own perfected style, with its own charisma and flair.

Sakara views dance as a gift from God that should be shared from a place of generosity, and with sincerity.  By keeping our spirits humble and gracious, you will be able to joyfully recieve our passion and commitment for salsa.
