NEW PROGRAMS FOR SOUTH BAY RESIDENTS
Beginning SALSA, Merengue and Bachata Dance Lessons

at the
Montevalle Center, Eastlake

We found a home! The Montevalle Center in Eastlake is 5 minutes from the golf course, has tons of parking and the studio is beautiful with a great floor and air conditioning.

SUMMER 2009
LATIN CLUB DANCES, including Salsa, Bachata and Merengue! Tuesday nights from 7:30 - 8:30 beginning July 7th for 8 weeks. You will learn basic and intermediate-level patterns with an emphasis on technique, musicality and styling! This is a GREAT class for singles or couples!

Cost: $76 for South Bay residents (includes all fees) for 8 hours of instruction!

This will be our SEVENTH monthly meeting at the club. Cafe Sevilla, a popular venue here in San Diego for salsa, is opening its doors to our group on the first Wednesday of each month.

This month's event will be featuring a Tapas and Dance theme! Come at 7pm for tapas and drinks from a special happy hour selection just for our meetup group. They will meet for tapas from 7pm to 8:30. Afterwards anyone who wants to take the lesson can at 8:30 or mingle in the special VIP area for our group downstairs

The San Diego Salsa and Latin Dancing Meetup Group will have a special area set up for members to mingle starting at 8:30 pm. Look for us at the main entrance area, right hand side in the VIP Section. I'll have a Meetup.com sign set up in the area. Come early at 9pm sharp to meet members before everyone goes out to dance!

Orquesta LGC will be performing LIVE salsa beginning at 10pm.

Meetup members will get a special discounted price of $5 admission before 10:30pm.

22 year Anniversary Boat Gala

Cafe Sevilla, both restaurant and Nightclub, cordially invites our Meetup group to their 22 year anniversary party.

Join Cafe Sevilla along with hundreds of people as they celebrate on the summer waters on the Pacific.

The event is taking place on the Lord Hornblower Yacht and will boast up to 500 people!

Partner Dancing ABC (ABSOLUTE BEGINNER CLASS)

This class will transform you
from DREAMER "I wish I could do that!"

to DANCER "I cannot believe how much fun this is!!!"

How to Transform…
We know what keeps most people from dancing… fear and intimidation. Thankfully, these obstacles crapper be overcome:

Training + Practice = Confidence and Success
(true for everything in life… including dance!)

The Hardest Part… is making the selection to try. The "Partner Dancing ABC" class was created to ease your transformation from DREAMER to DANCER.

We Start at the BEGINNING… Here's What You Will Learn

Body Awareness – all about YOU and how to advise as a dancer
Partnering Skills – all about the partnership and it's dynamics
Music – all about the language of dance and how to ingest it
Dance – apiece month we ingest a different dance to teach the skills above

June 2009: SALSA!!!

What to wear:

o comfortable clothes you crapper advise in (casual)
o ladies: regular 'dress' shoes like pumps or sandals with straps
o men: regular loafers or dress shoes

What NOT to wear:

o please no tennis shoes
o no shoes that slip on and soured (they're dangerous!!)
